ROCK IGNITION
Das ist Rockmusik - ehrlich, hingebungsvoll und enthusiastisch. Das ist das Ankommen an der Initialzündung, verwurzelt im Hard Rock der 80er - inspiriert von Bands wie Skid Row, Kiss, Vixen, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Mr.Big und Mötley Crüe. Das sind kraftvolle Riffs, eingängige Melodien und packende Refrains - mit einer Rockröhre als Frontfrau, die ihresgleichen sucht.
IGNITION
Die
Vision einer Band mit Mitgliedern, die nicht nur den Hang zu echter
handgemachter Musik sondern vor allem die totale Passion für Hard-Rock im Stile
der 80er vereint, trieb Jürgen Steinmetz (der in den 80ern die Band Headstone
gründete und mit Silent Force Europa, Amerika und Japan betourte) und Heather
Shockley (Frontfrau von 900SEC, Background für die US-Metalband Kamelot und
Musicaldarstellerin z.B. in "Jesus Christ Superstar", "We Will
Rock You") an, Musiker zu finden, die dieselbe Einstellung zur Musik
haben. Viele Musiker waren in den Bandfindungsprozess involviert, aber erst
jetzt haben sich die richtigen gefunden.
ROCK
Als Musiker von ROCK IGNITION reicht es nicht, das Instrument perfekt zu beherrschen, vielmehr bedarf es die Vision der Band mit Herz und Leidenschaft zu leben. Hiermit gelingt es dem Quartett die Ausstrahlung der Musik vor allem auf der Bühne noch zu maximieren und das Ganze scheint zu mehr als der Summe der Teile zu wachsen, einfach:“The greatest Hardrock of the 21st century!“
Nach Veröffentlichung der Onlinesingle "I Can't Resist", die auch der EP (gemischt von Produzent Dennis Ward -Pink Cream 69) den Namen verleiht, wurde der Song zur Hymne der Musik von ROCK IGNITION, welcher die Band und die Fans einfach "nicht widerstehen" können!
Der Sound spricht Fans aller Musikrichtungen und Altersklassen an, was sich auch in den Kommentaren (z.B. auf www.myspace.com/rockignition) widerspiegelt.

The vision of a band with members that are brought together not only in their preference for real hand-crafted music but first and foremost, the total passion for Hard Rock in the 80s style, impelled Jürgen Steinmetz (who founded in the 80s the band Headstone Epitaph, and toured Europe, America and Japan with Silent Force) and Heather Shockley (frontwoman of 900 SEC, background singer for the US-metal band Kamelot and musical artist in shows such as

the same attitude to music. A number of musicians were involved in the forming

Der 7er Club liegt im Industriegebiet von Mannheim und ist ein kleiner typischer Rock Club. Rustikal aber ansprechend eingerichtet mit einem kleinen Biergarten im hinteren Teil. Eigentlich eine coole Location mit genügend Platz für Bands, aber wie so oft an einem Sonntag nicht gut genug gefüllt. Da ich an dem Abend zeitig wieder los musste und noch einen weiten Weg Richtung Norden hatte, habe ich auch nur Rock Ignition gesehen und kann über den Auftritt von Sons of Seasons nichts berichten. Rock Ignition haben einen tollen Gig hingelegt, auch wenn für meinen Geschmack der Sound nicht so das Gelbe vom Ei war. Die Band lebt ganz klar von ihrer ausdrucksstarken Sängerin Heather Shockley, die hinter dem Micro eine mehr als gute Figur macht. Sehr sympathisch und mit einer starken Stimme ausgestattet. Wer auf den Sound von typischen Female Fronted Rockbands steht und im klassischen Hard Rock Bereich verankert ist, kommt mit der Band perfekt auf seine Kosten.
